Victor Doby, 41, lost his house and his job in Katrina. He has always worked at Lesso Seafood, a nationwide supplier, packing shrimp. "We stopped packing a few days before the storm, to get the shrimp processed and put in the freezer, but all that blowed away too." He stays in a tent in East Biloxi with friends and relatives, who offer coffee and conversation to visitors. Of the future rebuilding, he says, "We don't want to be 15 feet off the ground. I have an elderly aunt - there's no way she could get up and down; what are you gonna do, have an elevator? I think they just need to go with the ground level, and whatever..."

Doby praised the Salvation Army for their efforts. He said he got a girl's bicycle and pump and a box of food, which helped.
