The bottom line is that these guys have a great setup and are eager to please. They have just taken possession of their factory near Baton Rouge and have the Katrina Tiny Cottage III model there now. They think that they can ramp up to producing 200 cottages per week. I'll be in Louisiana to make a final inspection on Saturday, at which point I should be able to give them the New Urban Guild Seal of Approval, making this the first Katrina Cottage produced by a housing manufacturer.

Most manufacturers currently are blind to most of the details and proportions that matter, but they're getting much better. For now, the process of leading them to a correctly-designed product is a bit more laborious than we thought it would be... but it is possible with enough hard work.
