"I'd like the people of Hancock County to realize the importance of building codes. This has been a great lesson for everybody. Redevelopment -- my concern is that the wrong type people will come in here and snap up properties because of the state people are in. I don't have a problem with high-rise condos, but there needs to be a limit. We could probably use development of the right kind, but it don't need to be haphazard development. We don't want somebody to just come in here and tear down what we had and build a strip mall. It ought to be planned."
